Managing Risk – Threats and Opportunities
Serve The City Ireland recognizes that certain situations may arise that can expose people or the organization to danger. The Risk Management Policy is designed to have a positive approach to identifying and reducing potential risks as part of the usual management of the organization.

Examples of type of risks would include:
Financial (Fundraising may fail to raise enough funds to cover expenses)
Human (Departure of key personnel)
Operational (Theft of funds or equipment)
Technological (Such as the computers dying without sufficient backup, or a data leak)
Physical (injuries to Volunteers)
Reputational (Complaints from Clients /Volunteers or negative media exposure of bad practice)
Governance and management (Such as a lack of planning to guide the organisation’s work)
Legal (claims and litigation against STC Ireland)
